Muslim Ummah Society

Introduction:
"Muslim Ummah Society" is not affiliated to any formal institution. It is simply a group of like-minded individuals whose wish it is to not only spread the teachings of true Islam as taught to us by Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.W) and the Ahlulbait (A.S) but also the important lessons from Karbala. It is an invitation to everyone to understand their own responsibilities towards each other and towards their faith. In order to do this successfully each of us must have a basic grounding in Islam with appropriate knowledge of the lives and actions of the Ahlulbait (A.S).

Activities:
To achieve these objectives the society will arrange Programmes on the lives of the 14 Masoomeen (A.S). Throughout the year lectures, seminars and quizzes will be arranged for our youth and adults alike. We intend to keep these programs appropriate to the prevailing Islamic dates and also the needs of our community.

We as a group are aware of our own shortcomings and the gaps in our knowledge, and so, hope to educate first ourselves and then others. To this end, all activities are undertaken under the close supervision of respected Ulama with the help of Momineen who wish to contribute their time and efforts.

Rules and Regulations:
Punctuality, Discipline and Unity will be observed in all undertakings; these form the basic etiquette of our Religion.

Punctuality is necessary and important. The time given to speakers in seminars is fixed and no one will be allowed to over-run. Following lectures or seminars a fixed time for appropriate questions is also allocated. We feel that it is important for people to be able to question speakers openly in order to further their understanding of any given subject, however, during the speaker's time no interruptions will be allowed.

The rules governing each quiz will be given on the registration forms for entrants.

Responsibilties:
Hazrat Imam Jaffar-e-Sadiq (A.S) Says: "To sow the fertilizing seed, first we have to select the appropriate land." In light of Imam's saying we have to guide our children, because today's children are tomorrow's youth and future leaders. No doubt the cradle is the first school of any child, but as they grow up, they have a delicate mind. Whatever is poured into it, they will grasp. Therefore we feel it is our responsibility to expose these children to real Islamic values and concepts. In this regard we will organize programmes with Ulama that have real knowledge and understanding of Islam, so that they can teach these children the Hussaini ideology and objects of the incident of Karbala.

We feel the quizzes held for our children are important to further their basic knowledge of the Ahlulbait so that they may apply this knowledge to their own lives. To encourage participation, prizes will be awarded to the top performers.

Today's need is to wipe the dust from the structure of Islam, so we can easily see the shining and radiant face of true Islam. Not of the Islam which is being manipulated by the enemies of faith.

Future Planning:
To set up an Islamic media library of all programmes as well as other material such as majaalis, nohas, seminars and so on, so that these may become easily accessible to current and future generations in the context of current, and hopefully, future technology.

To change and grow appropriately with the growing needs of the communities that we serve.

Declaration:
We solemnly declare that Inshallah we will struggle till the end of our lives to spread the real Ideology & concepts of Islam.

In last we pray that Almighty Allah give us courage to achieve our noble goals.
